51 A mysterious death
They found the young woman impaled upon spikes of the riverside sculpture at 6am this morning. Just how she got there is any ones guess. How they’ll get her down is difficult enough. It seems impossible to surround the area with scaffolding, to box in the body, so to speak. A helicopter retrieval is the latest suggestion, whereby a cable will lower an Officer, enabling him to secure and harness her torso and both will be winched skyward. Whatever we do, there is no doubt imagery will be fairly ordinary finding the of Prague making world news.
A swift return of toxicology suggests she was not drunk; though it’s too soon to know if there were narcotics in her system at the time of impact. Equally it’s unknown if it was the impact that actually killed her. I am hoping she was dead well before what ever force propelled her here, 20 feet in the air with multiple, spike, slash entry points. The woman is a kebab.
Detectives on site have been questioning two homeless men who, as it was minus two overnight, are believed to have been shielding themselves from the cold. Both claim to have seen and heard nothing. There is no building close enough, as in no balcony or roof from which to jump or be pushed. There was no air traffic noted in the vicinity, nor unusual traffic movement picked up on CCTV.
Her death is a mystery and her mystery is about to become mine.
